The Benefice of Sharpness with Purton and Slimbridge

This Benefice extends over the villages and hamlets of Breadstone, Cambridge, Halmore, Purton, Sharpness and Slimbridge. Our rector is Bill Boon.

We are in the Diocese of Gloucester, only twelve miles south of Gloucester but twenty-five miles north of Bristol, right on the eastern bank of the Severn. Sharpness in fact has a working dock area which is also the start of the Sharpness-to-Gloucester Canal leading right into the heart of the city and the renovated dock area.
